Initial
Training After Install
Credit
& Management Systems offers two types of training
programsan on-site program which spans 1 ½
days, or a live, interactive, internet-based program
scheduled in segments that meet your work schedule.
The same material will be covered by a CMS trainer
regardless of the training option you choose. There
is an additional cost in the form of travel expenses
if an on-site training is chosen.
Up
to five people may participate in the training, and
to the degree possible, each person should have an
individual PC and the capability to print from that
PC. All information discussed is cumulative, so you
should not expect participants to join the session
once begun. Prior to the training each participant
should read this guide and complete the customer and
financial data entry worksheets for at least five
(5) accounts of varying levels of quality. In addition,
information pertaining to your scored items, such
as bank and trade reference information and perhaps
a D&B report or credit report of your choice,
should accompany each account for data entry. An A/R
system customer status report showing
the existing credit limit and balance owed is also
helpful.
On-Site
Training Requirements
The
session should be held in a conference room or training
facility away from telephones and all other interruptions.
Training equipment must meet the minimum specifications
as stated on page 6. Because a majority of the session
consists of hands-on training, your PC(s) and printer(s)
will need to be set up in the training room beforehand.
An instructor PC with a projected screen display is
nice to have, but not mandatory. Microsoft PowerPoint
is needed on the instructor PC, or on all training
PCs if a projected image from the instructor
PC is not possible.
Internet-based
Training Requirements
Each
training participant will access the CCM training
from his or her workstation and will utilize the CCM
software installed on this workstation. A Webex control
file will need to be installed on each PC to enable
the connection to the training session. A link to
the CMS training site where this control file is downloaded
from will be sent to each participant beforehand.
The installation of this file takes about 2 minutes.
A
high-speed internet connection such as ISDN, DSL,
T1 or T3 is desirable and will provide almost instant
screen updates. Participants that connect to the training
using a dial-up connection can avoid unnecessary delays
in screen updates by connecting to their local ISP
rather than to their corporate server.
