John S. Sargent, CMC
President & Chief Executive Officer
John S. Sargent is the original founder of Credit & Management Systems, Inc. and continues as its President, CEO and Chairman of the Board. Prior to starting CMS, Mr. Sargent worked as a Senior Consultant with Andersen Consulting (now known as Accenture), specializing in technology deployment to manufacturing, distribution and financial corporations. Following over a decade with Andersen, Mr. Sargent started Sargent Management Associates, Inc. with a focus on technology development for the corporate and commercial credit areas of business, leading to the founding of CMS. Mr. Sargent also serves as the firm’s Chief System Architect.
Mr. Sargent holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Haverford College, in Haverford, PA, and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA. He is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) through the Institute of Management Consultants, and is frequently asked to speak to various groups on the use of technology in back-office operations. Mr. Sargent has published several articles dealing with Technology Evolution, with a number of articles published in Business Credit Magazine.
